October 2007 Sentient Hero: Francesca Conticchio

Dr. Hecht of the New England area has become the primary spine surgeon for the New York Jets and will be doing all acute injury cases for their home games at Mount Sinai Hospital. He recently pulled Francesca aside and asked her if she would be willing and able to cover them. This means that she would need to be in the city and available on short notice during and after the Jets home games. It also means that there is the potential for cases involving high-profile persons.

Mount Sinai Hospital has their own techs and Dr. Hecht could have requested one of them. He didn't. This speaks well for his relationship with Francesca and the confidence that he has in her and her abilities. Congratulations to Francesca!
